Dr Chris Bowlin

Christopher Bowlin, DPM

Dr. Chris Bowlin is an East Tennessee native and founder of Faculty Physicians. He completed his professional training at University of Louisville, a level 1 trauma center, with a 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Certification. His straightforward treatment philosophy is centered around comprehensive foot and ankle care and evidence-based medicine. He specializes in limb salvage, deformity correction, diabetic foot care, Charcot foot, and lower extremity wound care. Additionally, he started Surgical Wound Care Associates, Tennessee (SWCA-TN) after recognizing a growing need for surgical wound care within his own podiatry practice. His goal is to improve all patient’s quality of life from a podiatric perspective. He enjoys travelling and being active outdoors.

Dr. David Goldman

David Goldman, MD

Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. David Goldman is an internal medicine physician who completed his professional training with residencies in Texan and at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He has extensive experience in internal medical, as well as experience in emergency medicine. Additionally, he spent time as a faculty clinical virology physician in HIV care. His wide range of experience qualifies him to provide comprehensive, detailed care of his patients. He specialized in internal medicine to help adult patients manage their overall health.

Dr. Derrick Roland

Derrick Roland, DPM

Dr. Derrick Roland is a board qualified, fellowship-trained podiatric surgeon who specializes in modern surgical techniques, including all aspects of elective, trauma, reconstructive, limb salvage, and minimally invasive procedures. Hailing from southern Indiana, he completed his profession training in Chicago with a 3-year surgical residency at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Florida. Following residency, he pursued a fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Roland is a devoted patient advocate, whose approaches center around both patient education and the latest evidence-based research. It is important to Dr. Roland that his patients understand their health and select the individualized treatment option that best fits their unique needs and lifestyles. Dr. Roland prides himself on his ability to discuss complex foot and ankle problems with patients in a concise and easy to understand way. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the beautiful state of Tennessee, traveling abroad, live music and attending sporting events.

Brittany Miller is a certified physician assistant. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and joined Faculty Physicians that same year, specializing in podiatric medicine. She is passionate about building trusting, long-lasting relationships with each of her patients while providing top level care. A Tennessee native, Brittany enjoys exploring our beautiful state and country, cooking, and spending time with her husband, new baby, and corgi.

Ethan Haynes

Ethan Haynes, C.Ped

Orthotics and Pedorthics

Ethan Haynes is a Certified and Licensed Pedorthist, originally from Somerset, KY. He received his education from St. Petersburg College of Technology. Prior to joining Faculty Physicians Knoxville, he worked at a sport medicine practice where he gained extensive experience as a pedorthist with a deep understanding of lower extremity biomechanics. He specializes in assessing the arthrokinematics of the foot and ankle, as well as using fabricated and prefabricating custom foot orthosis to correct and accommodate various foot and ankle deformities. Additionally, he also specializes in limb salvage durable medical equipment (DME), working closely with podiatry and orthopedic specialties. Outside of work, Ethan enjoys high adrenaline activities, such as rock climbing and riding his dirk bike.

Jessica Boaz

Jessica Boaz, PA-C

Jessica Boaz is a certified Physician Assistant. She graduated from South College with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to joining Faculty Physicians, she owned fitness facilities in the Knoxville area which focused on comprehensive health as well as functional fitness and nutrition. She enjoys working out, sports, the Vols, and any outdoor activities.

Kim Gebhart

Kimberly Gebhart, PA-C, CWS

Physician Assistant, Podiatry

Kimberly Gebhart is a certified physician assistant. She graduated from Elon University with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and began her career in internal medicine before specializing in podiatric medicine with Dr. Bowlin. Through her care of podiatric patients, she developed a strong interest in wound care and limb salvage. This led her to pursue becoming a Certified Wound Specialist through the American Board of Wound Management. As an active individual herself, she is passionate about improving her patient’s quality of life and enjoys collaborating with other specialties. She enjoys teaching fitness classes, mountain biking with her husband, and hiking with her family.

Kristal Henderson, MSN, FNP-BC

Kristal Henderson is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Faculty Physicians in 2021. She earned Master of Science in Nursing from Lincoln Memorial University in 2020 and has many years of prior nursing experience. She has worked in family practice for many years and thoroughly enjoys getting to know her patients to provide comprehensive and detail-oriented care. She excels at working collaboratively with her patients to create sustainable care plans that promote overall wellness.

Kyler Dalton

Kyler Dalton, PA-C

Physician Assistant, Podiatry

Kyler Dalton is a certified Physician Assistant. He graduated from Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, OH. After working in regenerative medicine and orthopedics, he joined the Faculty Physicians Knoxville team to specialize in podiatric medicine. He enjoys working in foot and ankle medicine, especially after experiencing two metatarsal fractures himself that were surgically corrected. In his free time, Kyler enjoys hiking, kayaking, and traveling with his two dogs. When the weather is nice, he enjoys long motorcycle rides. Football is his favorite pastime.

Olivia Guthrie

Olivia Guthrie, PA-C

Physician Assistant, Podiatry

Olivia Guthrie is a certified physician assistant who is a native of Alabama. She has lived in East Tennessee since 2002 and received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College. She has extensive experience in orthopedics and ENT prior to joining Faculty Physicians. She specializes in podiatric medicine, focusing specifically on podiatric care in long-term care facilities and assisted living facilities. She lives on a farm with her husband, along with many dogs, chickens, ducks, and sheep. She enjoys reading, working on fiber crafts such as knitting and spinning, and quilting. She also trains and shows border collies in sheepdog trials.

Rachel Holloway is a certified physician assistant who attended Lincoln Memorial University School of Medical Sciences and graduated with a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She is excited to be part of the Faculty Physicians Knoxville podiatry team and is passionate about establishing trusting relationships with her patients. LaFollette, TN has always been her home and she enjoys exploring the beauty of the East Tennessee mountains, studying medicine, and providing the best possible care to her patients.

Sam Wood

Samuel Wood, MSN, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care / Internal Medicine

Samuel Wood is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. He obtained his Master of Science in Advance Practice Nursing from Carson Newman University. He who believes that empathy and bedside manner are just as important as clinical excellence. He has many years of clinical experience prior to joining Faculty Physicians. He sees patients for DOT physicals, wound care, and primary care. Additionally, Sam provides wound care to patients in short-term and long-term living facilities. Sam enjoys riding horses with his wife, caring for his saltwater aquarium, and wood working.
